When Should You Repair or Replace a Lock?
A stiff or sticky lock can often be repaired or re-lubricated rather than replaced, and we will always recommend the most cost-effective fix first. After a break-in or attempted break-in, replacement is the safer choice, and we will fit a British Standard or anti-snap upgrade so the same weakness cannot be exploited again. We offer a free, no-obligation assessment of any lock.
We work with all major brands including Yale, Chubb, Union, Mul-T-Lock, Era, ASEC, Abus, Avocet, Brisant Ultion and Versa, and carry Euro cylinders, BS3621 5-lever mortice locks, sashlocks, deadlocks, rim cylinders, cabinet locks and multipoint gearboxes on the van.

- In many cases we can supply a replacement cylinder keyed to match an existing key, or key several new locks alike so one key opens them all. Bring this up when you call and we will advise on the best option for your doors.
- After a break-in or attempted break-in we strongly recommend replacement rather than repair, because the lock has already been targeted and weakened. We will fit a British Standard or anti-snap upgrade so the same weakness cannot be exploited again.
